Expanding the MentoringSG movement to ensure everyone has access
NYC launched the national mentoring movement, Mentoring SG, in December 2022. Since then, the Mentoring SG movement has created about 5,000 mentoring opportunities annually.
Mentors support youths as they navigate their education and career journeys. Mentoring also adds to youths’ social capital by linking them to industry professionals.

NYC will create up to 20,000 mentoring opportunities for you annually and grow the mentoring pool to 5,000 mentors by 2030.
NYC will bring mentoring directly into the IHLs. Mentoring will be accessible for all polytechnics and ITE colleges. NYC has also established partnerships with private education institutions such as James Cook University Singapore and Kaplan (Singapore), bringing mentoring to youths across different educational pathways.
