At NYC, we want to support you to be the change that you want to see in the world.

Whatever issue you care about, whatever change you want to see — this is your chance to make it happen.

NYC will commit up to $20 million in various grants to support 3,000 youth-led projects in the next five years.

Having different grant tiers and funding amounts means that whether you're a first-timer with a fresh idea or a seasoned changemaker ready to scale your project, there's something for you.

The goal is simple — no matter where you're starting from, there should be nothing stopping you from taking action.

1. Microgrant (<$1k)

No idea is too small. NYC is launching a brand new microgrant of up to $1,000 to help you take that first step and turn your idea into action. Applications will be open year-round and fully online, so you can apply whenever you're ready.

2. Young ChangeMakers Grant (YCM) (< $5k)

The YCM is designed by youths, for youths — giving you up to $5,000 in funding to bring your community project to life, along with mentoring and networking opportunities to help you along the way.

Not sure if your idea is ready? Bring it to one of our monthly Open Mic sessions, where you can pitch your idea to fellow youths, get honest feedback on the spot, and connect with others who share your passion. Sometimes, the best collaborations start with a single conversation.

3. Youth Action Grant (YAG) (<$70k)

Ready to take your idea to the next level? You'll be able to pitch your idea for funding up to $70k from the Youth Action Grant, connect with mentors, and meet partners who can help you host and grow your project into something real and lasting.

4. Youth Action Marketplace

Got a project idea you've been sitting on? A cause close to your heart? Or maybe you just want to do more – this is where it starts.

At the Marketplace, you may launch ground-up projects that tackle real community issues, find volunteering opportunities, pitch your ideas for funding, and link up with peers and partners who get it. Whether it's government agencies, or organisations like Happiness Initiative and EB Impact – everyone and everything you need to make things happen is right here, in one place.
